Abigail - Violin & Viola

Abigail is from Lehi, Utah, and has been playing violin since 2012, and the viola since 2018. Currently, Abigail is playing in the viola section in the Southern Utah University symphony, with a music minor in progress. When Abigail isn't playing music, she likes to mountain bike, hike, bake, fly planes, and sew.

Anna O - Flute

Anna was given her first flute at age 10, and despite brief explorations into other instruments it has remained a constant in her life. She has performed as a soloist at all levels from elementary to college, and has experience in marching and concert band, orchestra and various small ensembles. When not teaching Anna spends her time working at the local Heritage Center Theater, reading, crocheting, and spending time with her husband Justin.

Lara - Piano

Lara grew up in the Cedar City area and is currently a student attending Southern Utah University. She has been playing piano since she was 10 years old. She loves music and uses music as an outlet for expressing herself and connecting with other people. Lara takes an individualized approach to teaching each student depending on what they may need at the time. Her main goal with her students is to provide a comprehensive education while encouraging them to pursue their own interests when it comes to music. She welcomes all students of any age, skill level, and background!

Sarya - Voice

Sarya is from Woodruff, Arizona, and has been singing her entire life. She is currently majoring in Theatre Arts at SUU with a minor in psychology. When Sarya isn’t singing, she is acting, watching movies, napping, doing crafts, and photography.

Zach - Piano, Voice & Drums

Zach is a very in-demand singer and performer as well as rehearsal pianist and accompanist. He has been performing for years and has performed in both operas and musicals and large and small stages. Zach enjoys spending time with his wife and dog Jasper as well as spending time outside enjoying nature on hikes and other activities.

Ralayna - Piano & Voice

Ralayna is a passionate music teacher and opera singer. She studies vocal performance at SUU. With years of stage experience and awards, she loves inspiring students of all ages to achieve their musical dreams.

Troy - Guitar, Uke & Bass

Troy has been playing guitar for 30 years.  He has been married to his wife Christine for 31 years and he has four adult children.  Troy sings and plays guitar with a local band and performs solo at local Farmers Markets in the area. Family time and music are his number one hobbies!

Shane - Guitar, Uke & Bass

Hello, my name is Shane, and I love everything and anything that has to do with music. Especially teaching people what they love brings a lot of joy to me ! I love Rock n Roll, motorcycles, and anything that makes me feel alive!

Carrington - Voice

Coming from Gilbert, Arizona where she studied Vocal Performance at Mesa Community College, Carrington is excited to be a part of the Cedar Music team! She has performed in a variety of shows/concerts including: Shrek the Musical, Beauty and the Beast, Broadway Solos Showcase, and others! Having experience as both a solo and group/ensemble performer, Carrington has loved performing a wide range of styles from classical, musical theater, and modern pop.

Anna C - Low Brass

Anna is the trombone instructor here. She has over ten years of trombone experience and five years of baritone experience. In her spare time she loves doing photography and watching horror movies. She can’t wait to meet you!

Dave - Guitar

Dave has been playing the guitar for over twenty-five years. He loves and plays almost any music that features a guitar - from the blues, folk and outlaw country, to rock and roll, heavy metal, punk, and grunge. Dave is newer to teaching guitar, but not to teaching. He's spent over fifteen years teaching college creative writing. In addition to playing the guitar with a couple Arizona bands during the warmer months, Dave spends much of his leisure time drawing, painting, sculpting, and hanging out with his dog, Frasier. His current dream is to start a band in Cedar.

Stryder - Drums

Music has always been a passion for Stryder, and he has played some sort of instrument for as long as he can remember. Drums quickly became a focal point for him, and he has been playing them for six years. Jazz band was his favorite in high school, but he also played various percussion instruments for the high school symphonic band. He and his family have performed for family and county events in his hometown, Morgan, Utah. He believes in teaching music as a language, and helping students find expression in their own style. He encourages students to be curious and try new things, and to learn from mistakes, while not being afraid of them. Stryder also has a passion for astronomy, a love for the outdoors, and enjoys the adventure of life!

Aubrey - Violin & Viola

Aubrey has been playing violin for 15 years, and she has enjoyed playing in both small and large ensemble groups, with the BYU Symphony being the most recent. Aubrey is also a passionate violin instructor who finds deep fulfillment in bringing people together through music. When she is not practicing or playing music, she enjoys hiking with her husband, painting and reading Harry Potter!

Charles - Piano

My Name is Charles E. Davis. I am a piano teacher and musician who has recently joined Cedar Music. I’ve been teaching piano lessons for over 20 years. I also teach music composition. My Experience Includes: Bachelor of Arts in Piano Performance, 20+ years teaching students of all ages and levels, Teach both classical and contemporary music styles, Ability to teach and personalize instruction, ABRSM Instructor, Extensive solo and group performance experience, Composer, Arranger, Recording Artist, and Sound Engineer, Published three albums and several singles on major streaming services, Published several vocal, choral, and instrumental works on major sheet music websites. As a music instructor, I focus on providing a top quality music education and learning experience to meet and exceed your expectations for you and/or your child. I believe in a well-rounded approach to learning piano which involves learning piano repertoire, sight reading, ear training, music theory, and other exciting supplemental activities

Tatum - Woodwind

Tatum picked up the clarinet in fall of 2015 and immediately fell in love - and hasn’t stopped playing since. Since then, she’s also learned the alto, tenor, and baritone saxophone, and has played in both jazz bands and classical symphonies. When she’s not teaching, she loves to read, play dungeons and dragons, and hang out with her two orange cats, Bean and Newt!
